Your roleThis is an exciting new opportunity to work as part of the Contract Management Team to support the work carried out by the East Suffolk Services Ltd Grounds Team. The purpose of this fixed term position is to update and co‑ordinate mapping for the provision of the grounds service against GIS data and asset ownership. Through desk‑based and physical surveys of sites and communicating with East Suffolk Services Ltd, the role will determine measurements, produce current maps and update existing records, detailing the type of works carried out on Highways land, within the general portfolio and for the Housing Revenue Account within the district.
Whatyou will need
- Knowledge of operational public realm services delivered to East Suffolk Council’s residents.
- Excellent attention to detail, the ability to take accurate measurements and collate and analyse data, with a methodical approach to tackling large data sets.
- Experience and knowledge of IT systems including GIS mapping software and land survey experience is essential. Sound knowledge of Microsoft packages, specifically Excel, plus sensitivity to commercially confidential information.
- A Level 5 Horticulture qualification or equivalent extensive experience in a related field is essential.
