We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Housing Needs Team as a Choice Based Lettings Officer.

The role:

The post holder will provide a comprehensive Choice Based Lettings service to customers with varying levels of housing need to enable suitable positive outcomes in line with Part VI (Housing Register and Allocations), Part VII (Housing Advice and Homelessness) and the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017. Officers in the Choice Based Lettings team will focus on the Part VI area of need and service delivery.

What you will need:

It is desirable that the successful candidate will have previous experience within Social Housing Allocations or the Homelessness Sector. The candidate will also have good interpersonal skills & have the ability to remain calm in challenging situations. A good attention to detail is also required within this role.
