Staff Accountant

Our client is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic professional to be part of their corporate accounting team. This is a highly visible position with a fast track to promotion for the right person.

• Assist in ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of the financial position and results of operations on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis for internal and external purposes.
• Completing the monthly closing process on a timely and accurate basis, along with providing complete and accurate analytical analysis of the results of operations.
• Performing account reconciliations and identifying and resolving issues on a timely and accurate basis.
• Supporting new system implementations and/or process improvements.
• Ensuring internal controls are operating effectively in assigned areas.
• Maintaining the G/L structures and reporting.
• Supporting the annual external audit process and other financial audits.

• 1 - 3 years of accounting experience in a public accounting firm or corporate accounting role.
• Bachelor's or higher degree in accounting.
• General knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and internal controls.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills required.
• Strong computer, spreadsheet and database skills.
