Accounts Payable Specialist – Aston Carter
Contract to Hire position based out of Woodbridge, NJ.
What You’ll Do
- Perform daily A/P functions including receiving bills, confirming accuracy, payables entry and payment.
- Full cycle accounts payable: take an invoice, enter it into the system (Great Plains), process the payment, cut the check, and maintain the vendor record.
- Process 50‑100 invoices per day; manual paper invoices can be processed quickly, sometimes within a minute.
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Process 3‑way match (Vendor Invoice, P.O., Receipt or Receiving Documents) to ensure all correct information before payment. Previous experience with 3‑way matching is required.
- Respond to all vendor inquiries – if an invoice has the wrong price, reach out to purchasing or directly to the vendor.
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies.
What You’ll Bring
- Must have 4 years of full cycle AP experience.
- Experience processing high volume of invoices using 3‑way match.
- Strong experience with Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS and basic functions).
