Position:Water Group Lead – North Division
As a key leader you will champion our PRIDE values, foster a collaborative culture, and lead project work delivering high‑quality outputs. You will support business development and manage staff with a strong focus on health, safety, and engagement.
Role Requirements- Lead the Group aligned with the NASA and East Unit Strategic Plan.
- Drive project delivery – leading and supporting work to ensure high‑quality deliverables and technical excellence.
- Build a cohesive culture focused on quality, technical excellence, and talent development in line with PRIDE values.
- Understand client needs through collaboration with Portfolio Managers, Strategic Market, and Account Leads to pursue opportunities and support Business Development.
- Manage and support staff – establishing personal and organizational goals; guiding Line Managers on growth or performance; prioritising health, safety and wellbeing.
- Model behaviours that promote purpose and align with PRIDE values.
- Create and maintain a collaborative, respectful culture that encourages excellence, innovation, and learning.
- Secure new work by partnering with Strategic Market and Account Leads; support Business Development.
- Lead and support project work to ensure high‑quality deliverables and technical excellence across multi‑disciplinary projects.
- Manage staff focus on health, safety, and wellbeing, fostering positive engagement.
- Advise on promotion, salary and training of Group staff.
- Manage Discipline Leads, advise on team structure, mentor, coach and plan succession.
- Collaborate with other Group leads to maximise resource effectiveness.
- Plan and manage utilization of resources; forecast for critical projects and resourcing opportunities.
- Lead hiring – identify gaps, recruit and grow the team aligned with strategic objectives.
- Participate in and contribute to divisional operational matters; communicate updates from Region/Unit.
- Show visible leadership with internal and external representation.
- Deliver quality outputs in WIN and DO phases, applying QA/QC processes with division disciplines.
- Manage utilization targets; resourcing project work appropriately.
- Plan organisational structure, headcount, and hiring aligned with unit and regional strategy.
- Recommend salary increases, bonuses, promotions; prepare supporting documentation.
- Ensure mandatory staff training per Mott Mac Donald requirements.
- Report health and safety in line with company requirements.
- Oversee ethics and compliance of the Division Group.
- Follow BMS WIN and DO processes.
- Maintain timesheet compliance.
- 20+ years of experience leading teams in water/wastewater industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field;
Master’s preferred. - PE licence in NY, NJ, and MA.
- Strong record of fostering collaborative culture, innovation, and learning.
- Track record of winning work and supporting Business Development.
- Excellent project management skills delivering high‑quality work.
- Experience managing large‑scale teams across geographies, with focus on health, safety and wellbeing.
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills; supports staff development.
- Experience leading hiring initiatives, identifying gaps and planning growth.
- Visible leadership and effective communication skills, internal and external.

SalaryNYC: $220,000 – $270,000
NJ: $190,000 – $230,000
Boston: $190,000 – $230,000
