Overview

Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) provides patient‑centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision‑making. The APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs. Metropark is a HMH outpatient facility in Edison, NJ.

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice
• Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate)
• National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Suite)

• Advance Practice Nurse License
• BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification
• Board certified by AANP or ANCC

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification
