Veterinary Assistant - Overnight

Location:

1200 Route 9, Woodbridge, NJ 07095.

Schedule: Thursday – Saturday, 6 pm – 8 am.

Salary: $17 /hr to $24 /hr depending on skills, experience, and credentials.

• Help keep the hospital stocked, clean and organized.
• Assist doctors and staff with safely restraining animals of different sizes and breeds.
• Room clients and obtain a medical history.
• Walk dogs.
• Obtain vitals.
• Place IVC lines and obtain blood samples (after trust is built).
• Run laboratory tests.
• Provide SQ fluids and medications to patients with oversight.
• Calculate and administer medications.

• 2 years of experience in an animal‑related field.
• Ability to work well in a highly collaborative environment.
• Ability to work an alternative schedule given the nature of the Emergency department.
• Commitment to develop long‑term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community.
• Positive outlook and friendly, team‑oriented attitude.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to deliver exceptional client service.
• Honesty, integrity, and a desire to learn and have fun!
