Overview
A growing international trade compliance team is seeking a mid-level associate to advise clients on complex trade matters. The team values collaboration, professionalism, and a supportive work environment. This role offers direct client interaction and opportunities to contribute to compliance programs across industries.
Responsibilities- Advise clients on U.S. export control and trade regulations, including ITAR, EAR, OFAC sanctions, and CFIUS.
- Conduct investigations and prepare voluntary disclosures for potential trade compliance issues.
- Develop, implement, and maintain trade compliance policies and procedures.
- Collaborate closely with clients to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
- Work as part of a collegial, team-oriented environment.
- J.D. and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 2–6 years of experience in international trade compliance, including ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and CFIUS.
- Experience with voluntary disclosures and compliance program development preferred.
- Prior in-house or government experience is a plus.
- Excellent writing, communication, and client-facing skills.
- Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
