What You’ll Do
  • Safely operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, backhoes, trenchers, pavers, dozers, milling saws, road grinders, hydro‑excavators, track hoes, and other equipment.
  • Load and unload equipment and materials.
  • Perform daily pre‑shift vehicle and equipment inspections.
  • Carry out regular maintenance and cleaning on assigned vehicles and equipment.
  • Maintain all required operator qualifications.
  • Assist crew members with general labor as needed.
  • Undertake additional tasks as requested by leadership.
What You’ll Have
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • 1+ year experience safely operating equipment in close proximity to workers and underground utilities.

Work Environment
  • Work sites are outdoors and may involve extreme weather conditions.
  • All safety instructions are written and spoken in English; fluency in English is required.
  • Work involves prolonged lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, crouching, and crawling.
  • Operations occur within the equipment’s “red zone.”
  • Errorful hand‑eye coordination and constant alertness are essential for safety.
Legal Requirements
  • Pass pre‑employment, random, post‑accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens.
  • Provide valid U.S. work authorization documents for E‑Verify.
  • Satisfactory pre‑employment background check results.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Pass pre‑employment medical fit‑for‑duty test and hold/obtain a DOT medical card.
  • Join and maintain Union membership.
