Overview
SMG is hiring a Medical Assistant to participate in the float pool, traveling among multiple practices in NOVA. The role supports patient care and administrative tasks under the direction of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, PAs, RN, or LPN. A $5,000 sign‑on bonus is offered to eligible candidates.
ResponsibilitiesThe Medical Assistant provides patient care and administrative/clerical support, performs procedures based on training and competency, and maintains a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Tasks include patient assessment, vital signs, documentation, phlebotomy, medication prep, and teamwork across departments.
Location & ShiftWoodbridge, VA – First (Day) shift.
Education & ExperienceHigh School Diploma required. Less than a year of related experience.
Certifications- Certified Medical Assistant
- Registered Medical Assistant
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
- Certified EMT (EMT‑B, AEMT, or Paramedic)
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
