Job Summary The Medication Technician supports resident care within the branch, ensuring that residents’ daily medication needs are met in a compassionate way that maintains their dignity, allowing them to live their life to the fullest.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately follow the resident MAR to ensure medications are given according to Physician's orders.
  • Understand and follow the “Six rights of medication administration” and all Bickford policies and procedures.
  • Use the eMAR system for medication administration.
  • Communicate appropriately with clinical leadership for clarification regarding resident medication administration and care.
  • Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members as appropriate.
  • Demonstrate Bickford Mission “Whatever it Takes” to all team members on shift.
Qualifications
  • An active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or at least one year of experience in senior care.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Willing to take additional training or education as required.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications required.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Strong judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to learn Bickford’s eMAR system.
