Tech has an opportunity for a Trainer Subject Matter Expert (SME). The candidate will provide expert communications guidance and insight into PM TR portfolio of systems as well as other systems that are directly connected to or support PM TR systems. The SME will support Training Development Team (TDT) and be responsible for training the New Equipment Training Team (NETT) on all the PM TR systems.
- The SME will perform a variety of system operation, maintenance, mission planning and integration tasks where a SME is necessary for the TDT to develop TMs, TSPs, IMIs and other products in support of PM TR RMD NETT. The SME will also assist the TDT in the integration of new instructors by assisting in the development and implantation of the Instructor Certification Course (ICC).
Evaluate instructor performance and assist in the design and development of new (and/or updating of existing) TSPs to continuously improve the training. Supports the Training Manager with training experience; (Training Strategies/Requirements). Must be proficient in building mission plans using both gov’t and vendor owned tools. Support TM and TSP validation and verification events.
Responsible for the accountability of the training suites and associated equipment. May perform other duties, as assigned.
Responsibilities- Bachelor’s Degree and 17 years of communication experience, 8+ years of relevant experience with the PM TR family of systems. Must be knowledgeable of and experienced in the formulation and execution of organizational training programs. Capability to distinguish between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems. Educational and Hands-on experience in the following core technical areas: electronics, network support (hardware/software), computers (hardware/software), tactical radios, satellite networks, data encryption, web-based apps, encryption devices, COMSEC, and Platforms.
Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SharePoint. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Has ability to adapt to new situations and environments.
- Prior military experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with the Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) Versed in the Curriculum Development.
