Our commitment remains consistent to improve access, inspire hope, and provide the right support. Shift Differentials for PT and Pool/PRN positions:

  • $9.00/hr shift differential – Weekend Nights (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
  • $4.50/hr shift differential – Weekday Nights (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)
  • $4.50/hr shift differential – Weekend Days (Saturday, Sunday)
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the attending clinician to specified individuals. Complete initial psychiatric assessments, crisis interventions, family interventions, focused crisis diagnostic assessments, assessments of capacity for consent to treatment, risk assessments, individual education, progress toward treatment goals, discharge planning, and oversee the delivery of medication education and consent.
  • Document individual’s progress in the clinical record, including admission orders, progress notes, and discharge orders.
  • Order laboratory tests according to standards of clinical practice; review the health assessment completed by nursing staff, obtain a past and current medical history, and conduct a focused physical examination as indicated.
  • Initiate contact with Primary Care Physicians and Emergency Room clinicians according to established guidelines.
  • Assess individual's needs, guide the clinical team, and manage treatment plan updates while initiating contact with Outpatient Behavioral Health Providers as appropriate.
  • Provide necessary information to the clinical team regarding inpatient utilization and utilize appropriate medication based on best practices.
  • Collaborate with other personnel to ensure each treatment modality is appropriate for the individual and work with outside psychiatric providers and crisis/inpatient services. Work with the community to review involuntary petitions, assess involuntary patients, and coordinate with the legal system following established guidelines for Involuntary Evaluation and Treatment.
  • Participate in medical staff meetings, including regional and quarterly meetings; attend all required meetings and any meetings requested by Medical Leadership.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Nurse Practitioner
    • Unrestricted Registered Nursing license in the State of Virginia or hold multistate license.
    • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Master’s level certification in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP).
    • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) by the Virginia Joint Boards of Nursing and Medicine.
    • Licensed by the Virginia Board of Nursing and hold National Certifications.
    • Unrestricted DEA license and registered with the Virginia Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP).
    • Must have current DEA registration that includes Schedule III authority.
  • Physician Assistant
    • Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
    • Licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine and hold National Certification.
    • Unrestricted DEA license.
  • The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy. All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated, including showing proper documentation, or otherwise be exempt pursuant to the Company’s exemption process prior to their start date as a condition of employment.
