As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security‑related incidents while maintaining a visible presence.
Your role involves conducting routine patrols, responding to situations as needed, and interacting with individuals to provide outstanding customer service. - Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, utilizing appropriate judgment.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence at the location.
- Document security‑related incidents and complete required reports according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff and public to address concerns and answer inquiries related to security‑related matters.
- Remain alert and attentive to surroundings while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times during patrols.
- An Armed Guard Card or Armed Guard License is required.
- At least six months of experience in armed security‑related, law enforcement, and/or military roles is required.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry‑specific security‑related training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
