Childcare Worker – Woodburn, OR

Job . Join our team as a Childcare Worker at Salud Medical Center in Woodburn, OR. We’re a leading community health center offering a wide range of services across Washington and Oregon, including medical, dental, pharmacy, orthodontia, nutritional counseling, autism screening, behavioral health, and more.

Job Brief – Employment Duration:
Part time (Non‑exempt). No relocation. Majority of hours will be in the evenings, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Classes are expected to run in 6‑week sessions, with breaks before each new session. Must be bilingual (Spanish/English). Pay: $17.39 per hour.

What You’ll Do

• Prepares and maintains a clean and safe environment for children at rest, play, and study.
• Documents and reports any signs of abuse or neglect.
• Reads to children and assists with homework when needed.
• Provides and encourages social interactions among children.
• Provides care for young children and infants including diapering, feeding, and comforting as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate’s Degree in early childhood education preferred.
• Two years’ experience in childcare services or early childhood education preferred.
• First Aid and CPR Certification upon hire.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred – no differential pay.
• Ability to understand, assess, and react effectively to the unique needs of children age 0‑11.
• Skills in child supervision, problem‑solving, sound judgment, and conflict resolution.
• Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills with individuals and groups.
