Our client is seeking an experienced Estimator to support complex civil and infrastructure projects by leading cost development, coordinating vendor participation, and ensuring accurate, competitive proposals. This role plays a key part in shaping project strategy through disciplined estimating practices and strong cross‑functional collaboration.
This role onsite in Woodburn, Oregon.
Responsibilities- Review project plans, specifications, and requirements to establish clear priorities and develop accurate cost estimates.
- Build comprehensive construction budgets by evaluating design documents, updating relevant details, and forecasting labor, equipment, and material costs.
- Analyze project changes, site conditions, and scope adjustments to determine cost impacts and pricing considerations.
- Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring clarity of scope, qualification of partners, and competitive pricing.
- Identify, investigate, and reconcile cost discrepancies through data review, trend analysis, and proactive communication.
- Maintain consistent estimating standards, documentation practices, and quality controls.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support proposal development, scope clarification, schedules of values, and contract language.
- Contribute to department process improvements and assist colleagues as needed to support shared goals.
- Minimum of five years of proven estimating experience in civil construction, including earthwork, grading, utilities, paving, or demolition.
- Proficiency with industry‑standard estimating tools (e.g., Heavy Bid, AGTEK, or similar platforms).
- Demonstrated ability to lead estimating approaches, establish pricing frameworks, and support proposals from conceptual phases through final buyout.
- Experience supporting project teams with scope review, bid requirements, value schedules, and related documentation.
- Strong ability to develop and refine methodologies to improve estimating workflows and long‑term team efficiencies.
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, coordinating subcontractor outreach, managing digital plan rooms, and preparing technical proposal content.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
