Join our team as a Clinical Support Referral Specialist at Pacific Pediatrics in Woodburn, OR! We are a leading community health center in the Pacific Northwest, offering comprehensive medical, dental, pharmacy, orthodontia, nutritional counseling, autism screening, and behavioral health services. Our holistic model also extends assistance to shelter, energy, weatherization, HIV and AIDS counseling, home visits, and mobile medical/dental clinics.

- Maintain and update reports and registries for the Patient Care Health Home team; review data to ensure compliance with established workflows.
- Complete audits for invasive procedures, in‑house labs, and other PCHH data initiatives; document findings as requested.
- Identify and collect process‑improvement ideas and communicate them to relevant staff.
- Complete patient registration and verify/update insurance information.
- Assist patients and staff with Release of Information forms; send subpoenas and court orders to HIM for processing.
- Sort and distribute mail and faxes to appropriate departments or recipients.
- Provide Obstetrics support as needed, including running reports, maintaining the OB log, and managing consent forms and records for the hospital.
- Provide chart‑review support to Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners; forward chart reviews to physicians and maintain a chart‑review log.
- Manage, process, and track all referrals; ensure required forms are completed.
- Manage various work queues daily to ensure timely processing and completion of referrals.
- Respond to all incoming calls, emails, and faxes regarding referrals; take appropriate action and document completion linked to the referral.
- Set up appointments where applicable and coordinate follow‑up between referral source and patient.
- Assist with patient insurance authorization using internal resources as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Associate’s degree or certificate from an accredited technical school preferred.
- One year of office experience, preferably in a medical or dental setting; two years preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required; must demonstrate communication ability at level 9.
- Ability to prioritize work and handle many tasks with frequent interruptions.
- Effective interaction skills with the public, providers, and staff; professional manner.
- Basic proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Word, and Excel.
- Basic medical terminology knowledge desired.
