Join our team as a Relief Pharmacy Technician at Salud Medical Center in Woodburn, OR! We are a leading community health center in the Pacific Northwest with 40+ clinics in Washington and Oregon. We provide medical, dental, pharmacy, orthodontia, nutritional counseling, autism screening, and behavioral health services, plus assistance with shelter, energy, weatherization, HIV and AIDS counseling, home visits, and mobile clinics.
PositionHighlights
- $22.51 – $27.57 DOE with potential for higher pay for highly experienced candidates.
- Coverage for the region, including Woodburn and potentially Salem and Portland locations.
- Enter patient data in the system including name, insurance, allergies, provider, and diagnosis.
- Enter prescriptions in the system, selecting brand, product/drug, and appropriate strength per provider instructions.
- Fill or dispense products from pharmacy stock and deliver to patients.
- Process prescription refills, verifying availability.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders for restocking based on defined minimum inventory levels, verify quantities, and submit orders to the wholesaler.
- Verify product orders received with invoices and purchase orders, place stickers and organize stock on shelves.
- Monitor and check expiration dates on drugs in stock and prepare expired stock for return to wholesaler; process credit invoices for returns.
- Return or discard dispensed prescriptions not picked up by patients within 30 days; enter information in the system for reverse billing.
- Complete third‑party billing forms and contact providers if prior authorization is required.
- Perform clinical responsibilities in alignment with The Joint Commission (TJC), HRSA, and YVFWC requirements.
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
- One year’s experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Pharmacy Technician license for the states of practice, or an active Pharmacy Intern License.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred; ability to communicate at a level 9.
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills with a customer‑oriented approach.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Proficiency with administrative tasks such as answering phones, filing, faxing, scanning, and copying.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail while multitasking.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and at least one pharmacy software system; ability to learn new systems.
This position requires a pre‑employment drug screen, to be conducted after an offer of employment.
