Location & ScheduleLocation: Wilsonville, Oregon
Hours: Monday – Friday, 2:30 pm–11:00 pm (swing shift)
Compensation$24–$30 per hour, DOE
What You’ll DoAs a Manual Machinist 2, you will independently produce metal parts using manual lathes and mills.
Responsibilities include:
- Set up and operate manual lathes and mills independently.
- Select, install, and change tooling as needed.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.
- Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators) to ensure parts meet tolerances.
- Maintain machine fluid levels and perform basic machine maintenance.
- Inspect finished parts and verify conformance to specifications.
- Document work and complete required paperwork.
- Assist in training and mentoring Machinist 1 employees or trainees.
- Safely operate forklift (if required).
- Keep work area clean and organized, sweeping at shift end.
- Wear required PPE at all times.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3+ years experience as a manual machinist.
- Advanced prototype reading and interpretation of blueprints.
- Strong proficiency with precision measuring tools.
- Solid understanding of machining principles and manufacturing processes.
- Independent operation of manual lathes and mills.
- Accurate measurement, inspection, and documentation to meet tolerances.
- Proper and consistent use of machining tools and safety equipment.

- Forklift certification.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
- Experience mentoring or training junior machinists.
