Partnering with a peer Regional Director and reporting directly to the Vice President of Clinical Operations, this executive clinical leader is accountable for driving standardized evidence-based care, total regulatory compliance, and Five-Star quality outcomes across the region. Balancing operational support with financial and clinical stewardship, you will mentor Directors of Nursing Services (DNS), lead survey readiness, validate quality assurance processes, and serve as the region's subject matter expert on state and federal healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Multi-Site Oversight: Partner with peer leadership to establish, validate, and standardize clinical systems; drive CMS Quality Measures and Five-Star ratings by analyzing monthly CASPER and Point Right data
  • Regulatory Command & Crisis Management: Serve as regional SME on Massachusetts (105 CMR 150) and Connecticut (Title 19) regulations; direct annual certification, complaint surveys, and recovery plans while acting as primary contact for DPH/CMS reportable events
  • Quality Assurance & Audit Validation: Oversee regional internal audit validation through sampling; analyze EMR tracking systems (PCC/UDA) for infection control, skin injuries, and hospitalizations to design regional Plan of Correction templates and Performance Improvement Projects (PIPs)
  • Leadership Mentorship & Human Capital: Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and mentoring facility DNS and nursing leadership; provide interim clinical leadership during DNS vacancies to ensure regulatory stability
  • Workforce & Financial Stewardship: Collaborate with facility leadership to optimize staffing models using OnShift and payroll data; participate in clinical budget development to balance care excellence with resource allocations
  • Regional Travel & Emergency Coverage: Maintain a strong physical presence across centers in CT, while providing 24-hour on-call clinical support for regional emergencies
Qualifications
  • Licensure: Current, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut required (or eligible for immediate reciprocity/Nurse Licensure Compact endorsement)
  • Educational Background: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred
  • Clinical Leadership

    Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) industry, including at least 3 years as a successful Director of Nursing Services (DNS)
  • Multi-Site Expertise: Prior experience in a Regional or Multi-Site Clinical Consultant role is strongly preferred, with a proven track record of maintaining survey readiness and improving clinical outcomes across multiple locations
  • Analytical & EMR

    Skills:

High proficiency leveraging data-driven platforms—including Point Click Care  (PCC), Point Right, OnShift, and CASPER to mitigate clinical risk and optimize Five-Star Quality Measures
  • Travel & Operational Flexibility: Valid driver's license with the ability to travel frequently across and maintain 24/7 on-call resource availability
  • Multi-site clinical leadership experience required
  • Executive Compensation Structure: Highly competitive base salary reflective of regional multi-site leadership experience, with potential performance incentives
  • Travel & Expense Support: Comprehensive mileage reimbursement and regional travel support
  • Comprehensive Health & Wellness: High-tier Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance coverage options
  • Retirement Planning: Employer-sponsored retirement savings plan options
  • Paid Time Off: Generous PTO accrued package covering vacation, sick leave, and holidays
  • Executive Leadership Alignment: High-visibility strategic position partnering directly with the VP of Clinical Operations
