Salary Range: $75,000.00 To $95,000.00 Annually
SummaryAs a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in driving the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our financial operations. Beyond preparing and analyzing financial statements, you will lead complex reconciliations, support strategic planning, and champion process improvements across the department. This position offers the opportunity to mentor and guide other accountants, serve as a key resource for cross-functional teams, and contribute to high-impact projects.

- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and actionable insights for management.
- Manage and reconcile bank accounts, subsidiary ledgers, and complex balance sheet accounts, including quarterly and year-end tie-outs and amortization schedules.
- Collaborate with the Finance Director on budgeting and forecasting, analyzing historical trends, and providing strategic recommendations to guide financial planning.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all accounting records and transactions, proactively implementing process improvements and enhanced controls.
- Support and help lead internal audits, resolve audit findings, and drive compliance initiatives, including coordination with external CPA partners.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP, proactively monitoring for updates and changes in accounting standards.
- Prepare and file tax returns and supporting schedules, and participate in year-end tax meetings and projects as needed.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to other accountants, providing expert guidance, training, and acting as an escalation point for complex issues.
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including vendor negotiations, customer billing, dispute resolution, and collections, with a focus on continuous improvement and customer service.
- Champion process improvement initiatives, partner with technology teams to implement system enhancements, and standardize templates and workflows across the department.
- Lead or participate in special projects, such as system upgrades, policy development, and cross-functional collaborations to optimize financial operations.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and a commitment to professional growth, with the expectation of progressing toward supervisory responsibilities and future team management.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a bachelor’s degree in finance with an accounting minor.
- At least 6 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, Net Suite, or similar) and intermediate knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, mentor others, and contribute as part of a collaborative team.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a corporate office environment while using typical office equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.
