Purpose Brands, the parent company of Orange theory, Anytime Fitness, Waxing the City, The Bar Method, Basecamp Fitness, and Stronger U is seeking a Operations Project Manager to join its Waxing the City team. The Operations Project Manager at Waxing the City plays a critical role in driving franchisee success by leading the development, execution, and optimization of both operational and strategic projects. This individual will act as a subject matter expert (SME) for studio systems and operations, while also applying best-in-class project management methods to deliver initiatives on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals.
The role collaborates cross-functionally to ensure successful implementation and adoption of high-impact programs and solutions.
- Partner with Operations Leadership to define and implement operational and project strategies that support brand growth and studio success.
- Partner with Operations Leadership to lead cross-functional initiatives, including development of project plans, scope definition, timelines, resource allocation, and status tracking.
- Serve as a technical and operational expert in studio management systems.
- Create and maintain SOPs and business documentation to ensure consistency and operational excellence.
- Gather feedback from franchisees and Cerologists to drive improvements in operations, tools, and training programs.
- Use data and financial metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; influence strategic decisions with actionable insights.
- Manage risk proactively through mitigation plans, contingency strategies, and continuous monitoring of project health.
- Facilitate sprint planning, demos, and agile workflows to ensure effective collaboration and delivery.
- Act as the SME for Waxing the City’s studio operations and business processes.
- Support franchisees in onboarding, operational execution, and technology adoption.
- Support and deliver training content through webinars, digital modules, and in-person sessions.
- Ensure franchisees are well-informed of operational updates by coordinating with internal communication and product teams.
- Support change management efforts tied to new rollouts—conducting readiness assessments, driving adoption, and providing ongoing feedback loops.
- Provide regular status updates and post-launch reporting to stakeholders, including franchisees and senior leadership.
- Coordinate project communications and milestone tracking across business units using tools like Smartsheet or Jira.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Learning & Development, Product, Tech, Marketing, Retail, and Operations to ensure alignment and efficient delivery of initiatives.
- Create and deliver executive summaries, dashboards, and presentations to highlight progress and impact.
- Assist with drafting franchisee communications as needed to support operational rollouts or updates.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Project Management, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in operations, project management, or franchise support—preferably within the beauty or wellness industry.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and delivering operational improvements.
- Expertise in project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Jira) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence across levels and functions.
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in a franchise or multi-unit environment strongly preferred.
Salary Range: $76k - $80k
