Regional Maintenance Manager, NASC RME
Amazon is a Fortune 500 company and a global leader in e‑commerce. Amazon is looking for a highly experienced facilities maintenance professional to serve as a Regional Maintenance Manager for its North America Delivery Network (NASC RME). The role reports to the Facilities Maintenance Director, manages a team of Facilities Managers and Area Managers, and is responsible for maximizing equipment uptime and executing equipment maintenance and projects in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership, mentorship, and management to field‑based Facilities Managers in the North American Fulfillment Network.
- Drive maintenance best practices: innovate, document, improve work methods, standardize, enforce safe work environments, train, commission equipment, and analyze key performance indicators.
- Advise senior leadership on maintenance and equipment end‑of‑life (EOL) issues using ROI and other analytical techniques.
- Oversee budget development and execution, and lead capital planning.
- Manage vendor support, equipment relationships, and leverage Amazon’s network for economies of scale.
- Conduct on‑site monitoring, auditing, and enforcement of maintenance execution and safety practices; design and audit training drills.
- Leverage the maintenance team to support the North American network and develop contract documents (RFPs, change orders, PO’s).
- Provide fulfillment center general managers with visibility over facilities manager responsibilities.
- Recruit, interview, and hire high‑performance talent for facilities maintenance roles.
- Help build a world‑class facilities maintenance organization.
- Willingness and ability to relocate as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or an equivalent STEM field; or 2+ years of Amazon RME experience.
- 7+ years of managing large, complex facilities organizations.
- Experience leading change across multiple site environments and influencing non‑direct reports.
- 7+ years of employee and performance management experience.
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
- Experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering.
- Experience maintaining material handling equipment and integrated systems.
- Experience with Lean methodologies.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD, and commercial off‑the‑shelf technologies such as Tableau, SQL, or equivalent.
- Master’s degree or Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Professional Engineering registration.
