Customer Service Associate I – Family Dollar

Location:

Woodbury, NJ

Salary: $15.50 – $16.00 per hour

Duties
  • Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
  • Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
  • Maintain the security of cash and protect company assets.
  • Keep the store well stocked, recover merchandise, and restock shelves.
  • Receive merchandise, unload trucks, and replenish stock in accordance with productivity standards.
  • Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
  • Maintain the cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills And Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment (highly preferred).
  • Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents (required).
  • Ability to lift between 30 and 50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting (required).
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills (required).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills (required).
  • Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills (required).
