As a Receiving Specialist on the Starlink Materials Management team, you'll drive the receiving, tracking, and staging of vital materials and components for our cutting-edge satellites—your role will propel the future of worldwide internet access!
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Receive and log all incoming materials and packages in the ERP system; sort and transport to designated locations.
- Conduct receiving inspections on components, assemblies, and materials to verify compliance with certifications, specifications, and design requirements.
- Inspect received materials against accompanying paperwork for damage, correct part numbers, and quantities; approve or reject items and document results.
- Record production non-conformances per established procedures.
- Collaborate with internal customers and suppliers to resolve inspection discrepancies.
- Use electronic MRP system to route parts and components to the appropriate departments.
- Follow directions from receiving lead or supervisor.
- Generate and print routing labels and identifiers for incoming materials/packages.
- File and maintain records of incoming documentation.
- Adhere to strict material handling practices and procedures.
- Assess hazardous materials upon receipt, notify requestors, and arrange safe delivery to designated areas.
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 2+ years of receiving, precision/mechanical, inventory, or electronics inspection experience
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of experience in a receiving, inventory, or a materials management role
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or commercial aircraft environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience with GD&T and use of metrology tools and gauges
- Good communication skills and the ability to articulate aerospace hardware and systems problems to technical professionals to initiate resolutions
- Experience with the control of nonconforming hardware, failure/root cause analysis, corrective & preventative processes
- Experience operating a forklift or other material-handling motorized vehicles and equipment
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with the Microsoft suite
- Must be available for one of the following shifts:
- 1st Shift: Monday to Friday (8AM - 6PM) and a rotating Saturday
- 2nd Shift: Monday to Friday (11AM - 9PM) and a rotating Saturday
- Must be willing to work overtime and on weekends as needed
- Ability to lift 40 lbs., unassisted, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
- Must be willing to work in an open-aired environment, lacking temperature controls
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 75% of shift time
Pay range:
Receiving Specialist/Level 1: $22.00 - $24.00/hour
Receiving Specialist/Level 2: $24.00 - $28.00/hour
Receiving Specialist/Level 3: $26.50 - $30.50/hour
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
