Tax Associate

Join H&R Block as a Tax Associate and help clients with tax preparation, client communication, and business growth.

• Conduct client interviews face-to-face and via virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email).
• Prepare accurate and complete federal and state tax returns.
• Provide clients with IRS support and guidance.
• Support business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Collaborate with office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.
• Grow tax expertise and stay current with tax rules and product offerings.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in a fast‑paced, customer service or retail environment.
• Ability to work a minimum of 25‑35 hours weekly during tax season and up to 40 hours during peak weeks.
• Strong communication skills in person, phone, and writing.
• Must meet all other IRS and state requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course.
• Experience working in fast‑paced environments.
• Comfort using virtual tools (video, phone, chat).
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and in writing.
• Must meet IRS and state requirements.
• High school diploma or higher.

$11.00 - $27.00 / hour.
