Sales associates provide excellent customer service by listening to customers, helping identify their needs, and recommending appropriate products.

• Greet customers warmly and ask open-ended questions like “How may I assist you today?”
• Practice excellent customer service and listen carefully to customer needs.
• Guide customers to suitable products and provide product knowledge and technical assistance.
• Handle sales transactions, special orders, and price lookups accurately.
• Respond politely to telephone inquiries.
• Merchandise products on shelves according to planograms.
• Make product recommendations based on customer feedback.
• Process sales and special orders using POS systems accurately.
• Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock shelves as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales area.
• Inform customers about new products and promotions.
• Help load purchased items and report pricing or scanning issues via Resource Center.

• Understand and follow store security procedures.
• Remain vigilant against theft and report suspicious activity.
• Participate in safety meetings and follow safety guidelines.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Previous retail or customer service experience preferred. Strong math, reading, writing, and communication skills required. Friendly demeanor, problem-solving skills, and organizational ability are essential. Knowledge of hardware or building materials is a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and maneuver safely is necessary. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Pay range: $16.66 to $23.75
