- Perform highly skilled construction tasks such as loading, delivering, excavating, and operating advanced equipment for underground projects
- Install and maintain complex underground telecommunications cable with precision and adherence to project specifications
- Operate, troubleshoot, and perform minor maintenance on construction equipment to ensure optimal functionality
- Assist supervisors with project plans, material management, and task prioritization
- Provide support to small work groups to meet project goals on time and follow safety standards
- Complete and verify detailed production reports to maintain accurate project records
- Assist with site restoration efforts, including final grading and landscaping, to meet client expectations
- Identify and address potential safety and operational issues proactively
- Train and mentor Level I and II laborers to improve their skills and knowledge
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Class A CDL Drivers License
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
- 3-5 years of experience in underground telecommunications construction or a related field
- Advanced knowledge of construction equipment operation and maintenance
- Ability to interpret blueprints, job plans, and technical specifications
- Strong ability to work independently and provide support in team environments
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed
- Ability to work safely in all weather conditions
Effective leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Routinely: work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
- Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
