Position:
EHS Specialist
Location:
Woodland,CA. Full time in plant position.
This position will support the implementation and oversight of environmental, safety and health programs and policies at the facility. Experience in industrial safety, training, field/site safety auditing, safety/IH project management, and hazard identification and control is required. The environmental piece is of most importance and needs someone that is well versed in OSHA, knowing both air and water.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety or related field (Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, etc.)
- At least five years of practical experience in the field of safety for heavy industrial or power plant operations (schoolwork, internships, and co-ops are not to be included in the experience calculation)
- Experience with safety management systems (OHSAS
18001, ANSI Z10) is preferred - Working proficiency of Microsoft Office products. Expert knowledge of occupational safety and industrial hygiene regulations
- CSP or CIH certification (preferred)
- Knowledge of OSHA specification in California pertaining to air and water
- Communicate, administer, and maintain existing safety & industrial hygiene programs, policies, and procedures
- Continuously improve and expand upon existing programs by soliciting feedback from all customers
- Develop and deliver safety and environmental related reports, training, and presentations
- Consult with the corporate EH&S Professionals to ensure consistency with company expectations
- Conduct, monitor and follow up on site safety and environmental assessments
- Work with project site management to ensure compliance with regulations and consistency with company expectations
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve industry specific safety and environmental programs
