Full Time, Monday‑Friday 8am‑5pm - Pay Range: ASW/APCC/AMFT $75,245.40–$79,019.20 annually; LCSW/LPCC/LMFT $88,088–$ annually

The Behavioral Health Clinician (AMFT/LMFT, ASW/LCSW, APCC/LPCC) delivers adult mental health and substance use disorder assessment and counseling services to clients referred for diversion from the justice system. The clinician supports low‑barrier access to services, affirms the client as the expert in their own life, and delivers services in clinic and community settings. The role requires cultural humility and clinical competence, collaborating with other staff, deciding on programs, and providing consistent support to team members and partners.

MinimumPosition Requirements
- Education: ASW/LCSW, AMFT/LMFT, APCC/LPCC required (MSW may be considered if close to graduation). Must be in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Science.
- Experience:
- Minimum two years in behavioral health/mental health/SUD setting with strong diagnostic and assessment skills.
- Proficient in HIPAA‑compliant telehealth/video‑based services.
- Direct clinical experience with co‑occurring conditions.
- Experience or knowledge of re‑entry services, diversion programs, restorative justice, and/or harm reduction preferred.
- Special Skills / Training:
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
- Current valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- BLS Certification required.
- Respond to crisis and triage client needs.
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments for moderate to severe SUD/MH conditions, diagnose, and develop treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy, care coordination, and referrals.
- Utilize billing structures and apply ASAM, ICD‑10, and DSM‑5 codes accurately.
- Collaborate with case managers, peer advocates, supervisors, community stakeholders, and county health services for follow‑up care.
- Complete clinical documentation within 48 hours of service in accordance with agency and county requirements.
- Demonstrate cultural humility and respect with clients and partners.
- Track and manage caseload, monitor charts, and maintain timely placement of correspondence.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement efforts.
- Manage complex caseload, direct service, and administrative duties in a fast‑paced setting.
- Respond to and manage crisis situations per agency guidelines.
- Work with clients to establish goals and treatment/care plan; detect risk factors and danger signals.
- Provide information on treatment alternatives, referrals, and community resources.
- Create supportive discharge or program completion processes.
- Maintain confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, mandated reporting, and Tarasoff obligations.
- Understand and enforce clinic policies and rules.
- Compile and report outcome data as required.
- Attend clinical supervision, weekly staff meetings, community partner meetings, and trainings.
- Maintain current license and submit CEU and training certifications to HR.
- Follow all policies and procedures of Communicare+OLE.
- May require personal vehicle transportation of clients when company vehicle unavailable and safe.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
