Job Purpose Summary

AGC Quality Technician is responsible for verifying operational quality and food safety parameters, conducting sanitation verifications, reviewing documentation for completion and timely notification of OOS conditions.

Food Safety Policy

• Aid Adams Grain Lab/QC Supervisor in day-to-day lab operations
• Perform all in process sampling and evaluation (grading/testing) of product on site; notify management of OOS products
• Provide coverage in the lab and scalehouse, as needed
• Send out samples for external testing as directed by management
• Perform probe sampling
• Perform instrument verifications as directed by management
• Gather plant and bin samples as needed
• Review job cards and batch documentation for plant runs
• Review shipments and/or plant samples as needed or directed by management
• Conduct inbound/outbound trailer inspections
• Special Projects and other duties as assigned
• Perform internal audits including Bin Inspections as directed by management
• Compile and send samples when requested by lab manager or sales personnel

The Lab/QC Supervisor and/or Lab Technician shall cover for the absence of the Quality Technician

Required Qualifications:

• HS Diploma, minimum; BS degree, preferred
• 1+ years of experience

Skills And Competencies

• Good Communication Skills
• Ability to analyze data and make determinations
• Ability to follow written and verbal direction and work with minimal supervision
• Proficiency with ERP systems, word processing and spreadsheets
• Must be proficient in reading, speaking and writing in English for the purpose of record keeping, safety and quality training processes

Preferred Qualifications

• BS degree, preferred

• Available to work overtime including some weekends
• Willing to work in any of our operating locations (Arbuckle and Woodland)
• Prolonged periods of standing
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
