Access Control Security Guard - Porter Ranch

Archon Protection, Inc., is looking to immediately fill an Access Control Security SFV position within the San Fernando Valley area. As an Access Control Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of a gated community. Responsibilities are subject to change and are not limited or guaranteed to include the following:

• Controlling vehicle access to the community, ensuring that all guests and vendors are properly vetted before allowing access.
• Entering personal and vehicle information into an access control database.
• Monitoring camera surveillance systems for security risks and unusual activity.
• Providing customer service to residents, guests, and vendors.
• Take accurate and thorough notes of any unusual occurrences.
• Reporting in detail any suspicious incidents to the appropriate authorities.
• Protecting the company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment at all times.

This role requires high customer service skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols.

Extensive training will be provided by a Security Supervisor.

$17.78 per hour to $20 per hour

• Be at least 18 years old (BPC Section 7582.8)
• Possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid California Guard Card issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS).  to inquire about obtaining your Guard Card and Live Scan fingerprints.
• Undergo a criminal history background check through the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) (BPC Sections 7581 and 7583.9)
• Basic reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Must be physically fit, able to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness. Good judgement and problem-solving skills. Professional demeanor and appearance. Reliable and punctual.

• Available to work various schedules. Weekends Required.
• Basic to intermediate computer knowledge.
• Advanced communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
• Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
• Integrity and professionalism.
