Job Scope
Student Monitoring & Support
- Monitor attendance and late coming matters for Gear-Up students
- Patrol school compound and surrounding neighbourhood to ensure student safety
- Identify at-risk students and flag concerns to school staff promptly
Student Intervention
- Support and oversee programmes for at-risk students
- Accompany school staff on home visits to engage students and families
- Assist in smoking and vaping cessation efforts Discipline Support
- Assist in day-to-day discipline duties
- Address student conduct issues in a supportive and constructive manner
Administrative Support
- Maintain records of student interactions and incidents
- Provide general administrative support for Gear-Up activities Ad-Hoc Duties
- Any other duties as assigned by the School
Language & Communication
- Proficient in spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate clearly with students, staff, and parents
- Possess good note-taking and documentation skills
Student Engagement
- Able to engage students effectively, monitor their well-being, and follow up on relevant interventions and activities
- Demonstrates empathy and strong interpersonal skills in working with youths
Disposition & Character
- Matured, firm, and composed in managing student behaviour and discipline matters
- Able to exercise sound judgement and remain calm under pressure
Experience
- At least 4 years of relevant working experience in a secondary school setting, preferably in student management, discipline, or pastoral care roles
Note:
Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays: 9am to 6pm
* Services not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
Contract Period:1 Jan 2027 to 31 Dec 2027 (option to extend from 1 Jan 2028 to 31 Dec 2028)
