Engineering Assistant​/Technician; Perm -Hour Shift, AWS + VB

We are partnering with our client, Ichor Systems, to support Ichor's expansion and ramp up.

Ichor Systems is a leader in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of critical fluid delivery subsystems and components for semiconductor capital equipment. Our product offerings include gas and chemical delivery systems, precision-machined and welded components, brazing and surface treatment technologies, and other proprietary products, with a focus on metal and plastic parts used in gas and chemical systems.

Ichor is headquartered in Fremont, California with production facilities in California, Oregon, Texas, Nevada, Minnesota, Singapore, Malaysia, and Mexico, with a workforce of 2,000+ employees.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly builds and testing according to specifications, engineering drawings and work instructions.

• Support gas panel building from initial pallet assembly and integration through leak checks and functional testing.

• Read and interpret schematic and mechanical drawings to carry out assembly work accurately.

• Work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment while maintaining good housekeeping and manufacturing discipline.

• Work closely with team members to achieve production, quality and delivery targets.

• Follow EH&S requirements and take personal responsibility for workplace safety.

• Conduct risk assessments for work activities and support corrective and preventive actions.

• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to reduce waste and errors while improving quality, cost and productivity.

Qualifications

• NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in any
  Engineering or a related technical discipline
  .

• At least1 year of manufacturing, production or operations experience
  .

• Fresh graduates with relevant engineering training, internship or hands-on experience are welcome to apply!

• Candidates with or without experience are welcome to apply!

• Training is provided.

• Able to read and understand
  schematic and mechanical drawings
  .

• Able to commit to a
  12-hour rotating day/night shift
  , including weekends, and support overtime when operationally required.

• Strong quality, safety and productivity mindset.

• Good team player with a hands-on approach to work.

• Comfortable working in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.

• Hands-on experience in gas box or gas panel assembly within the semiconductor industry is preferred.
