Counsellor​/Social Worker; FAM

Job Purpose

You will be part of the team to provide casework and counselling services for families, with the goal for families to achieve healthy family functioning, and to deliver divorce support programmes and services to families who are affected by divorce, with the goal for families and their children to achieve stability and self-reliance.

• Part of the Intakeand Triage Team toconduct intake assessments for new intakestoidentifyneeds, strengths, and risks and make necessary referrals for clients.

• Conduct counselling for individuals, couples and families who are experiencing stress due tomarital andfamily-related issues.
  
  Includes Online counselling.

• Conduct case management for clients and case conferences with stakeholders.

• Identify, assessment and manage risks inherent in low-moderate complex cases by integrating a range of information and screening tools.

• Plan,reviewand facilitategroupwork intervention for parents and children.

• Facilitate premarital and divorce relatedprogramme and workshops to help equip couples and parents with knowledge that enhance relationships and skills to cope with life transitions.

• Provideprogramme and/ or practice/clinical supervision tojunior
  
  Counsellor/Social Workerand/or interns/Contract for Service Family Life Educators to ensureprogrammefidelity and quality service delivery

• Contribute to quality practice and professional matters in agency.

• Engage in research to evaluate activities andidentifyservice gaps.

• Facilitate internal training for team / service point

• Support networking and advocacy sessions with partners and stakeholders

• Degree in CounsellingORDegree in Social Work(preferably with a recognised certification in Counselling)

• At least3years of relevant casework / counselling experience in counselling, social work, or related work involving family,parent sand children, and have experience in conducting training and workshop

• Preferably clinical member of SAC
