Job Title: QA Inspector with Structural Experience
Client: General Services Administration (GSA)
Location: Baltimore, MD
Employment Type: Full‑time onsite
Pay Range: $80,000 - $105,000 per year plus benefits
APSI is currently seeking a QAQC Inspector with structural experience to be part of an Owner's agent (CMa) team in support of a Program for the General Services Administration. This full‑time onsite position will provide sound and proactive management advice to GSA to ensure the project is run safely and all GSA standards are met.
Daily Responsibilities- Maintain excellent relationships with clients, building occupants, the contractor and design teams
- Provide daily site inspections to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes
- Coordinate in the field with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, designers, and regulatory agencies
- Prepare daily reports
- Review the contractor's schedule
- Ensure labor compliance
- Coordinate 3rd‑party special material testing inspections
- Review and provide input on potential change order issues
- Maintain project records and manage project photographic records
- Verify field surveys
- Report on project issues and provide status updates
- Perform other duties as may be required.
- Ten (10) years of experience inspecting multiple types of construction including structural repairs
- Inspector must hold a master, journeyman or certified inspector license
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations with a 30HR OSHA Safety card (obtained prior to start)
- Ability to work well with others and willingness to learn in a team environment
- Strong computer skills, experience with Windows Office and construction management software
- Experience working on projects in occupied buildings
- Experience as an inspector on projects greater than $5M in value that include structural components in the scope of work
- Willingness to work off‑hours, including nights and weekends
- Experience as an inspector on GSA projects and familiarity with federal policies and procedures
