Job Description

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction to the project team and organization.
  • Architect, develop, and maintain an innovative test automation system for the organization.
  • Design and develop the Test Automation framework.
  • Define automated test criteria and develop automated test scripts for all the functionality that meets specified automation criteria.
  • Work closely with the application architect to develop a solid testing solution, working towards the future state of the application architecture.
  • Lead complex test automation efforts using Cucumber/Selenium and Java for large Agile software projects and identify innovative solutions to solve complex test problems.
  • Work collaboratively in a team-based Agile environment with other technical staff, business owners, and subject matter experts, that follow the industry standard Scrum and SAFe methodologies.
  • Assist in the training/mentoring of team members, including testers, developers, and business analysts and implement best practices for test automation developers across Scrum teams.
  • Communicate automation goals, priorities, and status across the organization.
  • Partner with Agile Release Train to plan for new functionality, resolve defects, and incorporate error injection test methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Seven (7) + years’ experience architecting, developing, and maintaining an innovative test automation environment including test automation framework.
  • Three (3) + years’ experience with agile development (preferably SAFe), Dev Ops, test driven development, advanced concepts of scrum, and knowledge of agile project tools, such as Version One.
  • Three (3) + years’ experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Build and Continuous Deployment Practice, Tools (such as Chef, Jenkins, Maven, Nexus) and trends.
  • Three (3) + years’ experience with Cloud based implementation and transition to the Cloud including virtualization.
  • Experience in analyzing metrics, identify dysfunctions, and make recommendations to senior management.
  • Strong understanding of Java/J2EE concepts, object oriented design and development.

Education Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering and/or equivalent formal training or work experience is required and 12 years of work experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering and/or equivalent formal training and 14 years of work experience.
  • Associate’s Degree with 16 years of relevant experience

Desired

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of advanced concepts of scrum, Kanban, XP, and Waterfall.
  • Good understanding of QA methodology and strong ‘hands on’ experience developing test scripts for functional, performance, and regression testing that include automated, ad-hoc, and manual testing elements.
  • Experience with source code revision control systems GIT and SVN.
  • Experience with MEAN stack.
  • Tools and technologies such as:
    Web Sphere, RDBMS:
    Oracle, DB2, Java, SQL, Eclipse, RAD, Fortify, ALM/QTP, Junit, Selenium, Git, Jenkins, Gulp, Jsdoc, Gerrit, Jslint, Karma, and Jasmine, MySQL, Node.js
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Visio, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent team building skills, including cross-functional team building.
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences, as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis.
  • Prior Social Security Administration (SSA) disability experience
