Position: IT Program Manager (Data Management)

This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Program Integrity, Provider Compliance Group (PCG), Division of Compliance Projects & Demonstrations (DCPD).

As a IT Program Manager (Data Management), GS-2210-12, you will provide technical expertise to accomplish analysis of options and development of the design for data systems, software, and complex programming specifications.

To qualify for the 2210 IT Specialist series the applicant must demonstrate the following competencies:

These knowledge, skills, and abilities/competencies are normally attained through the equivalent of one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level of the position being filled.

In order to qualify for the GS-12
  • Using statistical software or programming languages (such as SAS, SQL, R, or Python) to analyze data and create visualizations.
  • Applying system analysis or testing methods to support the development of IT solutions.
  • Combining multiple datasets and checking results for accuracy using statistical methods.
  • Writing reports or giving presentations that explain technical findings to non-technical audiences.
