As a Resource and Patient Management System (RPMS)/File Man/M/Cache Developer you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter.
Our work depends on you joining our team to provide application enhancements and support for a federal healthcare delivery system.
Work with a multidisciplinary team of developers to design, program, deploy, and support clinical applications which are part of the IHS Resource and Patient Management System (RPMS). Designs, develops, codes, tests, and debugs complex new software products; or makes significant enhancements to existing software. Analyzes, develops, and recommends technical solutions to support client’s requirements in solving moderately complex application design issues, which may include network platform and system security considerations.
Supports application user interface accessibility requirements by understanding and applying best-practice and industry standard approaches to application design and development. Provides input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials. Troubleshoots complex problems and provides customer support for software and issues related to one or more clinical applications within the IHS RPMS system.
Provides input to testers to validate software changes have been met. Prepares reports on analyses, findings, and project progress. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8+ years of Software Development experience in File Man/M/Cache General experience includes information system requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing.
- Ability to translate design artifacts into usable code.
- 3+ years of experience in the healthcare sector.
- Advanced knowledge of the VA and IHS environments, RPMS, CPRS, or legacy VISTA.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team with adjusting priorities and deadlines.
- Understanding of Agile processes and the related QA lifecycle.
- Proven ability to work on a remote/distributed team.
- Working knowledge of Team Foundation Server and/or Azure Dev Ops.
Must be able to obtain an appropriate level Public Trust which requires residency in the U.S. for 3 of the past 5 years.
