Project Engineer, Quality Engineering

Join to apply for the Project Engineer role at Hendrickson in Woodridge, IL. This role is part of the Truck Commercial Vehicle Systems division.

• Manage all technical aspects of multiple and/or major projects utilizing the Product Planning and Development Procedure.
• Design, validate, provide test reports and sign-off documents, and ensure production readiness.
• Coordinate with CAD, FEA and laboratory personnel and interface with other departments in support of the above.
• Coordinate the technical design and test aspects on projects with suppliers and customers.
• Provide continuous improvement through employee development, process improvement and elimination of waste.
• Help assure safety in the lab and office.

• Bachelor of Science degree in technical discipline required.
• BSME/BSAgE/BSAeroE preferred.
• 4-6 years’ experience in vehicle structural design (heavy or medium duty truck preferred) with exposure to dynamic structural analysis, finite element analysis, fatigue analysis, and product design.
• Demonstrated product innovation.
• Solid Works CAD experience preferred.
• Experience working with independent suspensions a plus.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to meet product development deadlines.

• Frequent sitting and working at computer for extended periods.
• Occasional standing and walking on concrete.
• Occasional climbing stairs and fixed/vertical ladders.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull carts (minimum 25 lbs) and parts (minimum 60 lbs).
• Ability to drive as required.
• Ability to travel 10-20% of the time to MT. Vernon, MO as required.

Salary:
In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the salary range is $95,500-$135,000. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, qualifications, and other job-related criteria.
