Location:
Woodridge, IL
Compensation: $41.03 / hour
Shift: Monday - Friday, 5 am - 1:30 pm
Ability to work holidays and weekends as needed.
- Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance and testing on equipment.
- Repair and improve equipment, from minor rebuilds to major overhauls.
- Identify processing waste reduction opportunities and assist in reduction projects.
- Participate in preventative maintenance programs to reduce operational costs through optimization.
- Dismantle, clean, repair, and test electrical, electronic, and mechanical components to determine failures.
- Support equipment installations, retrofits, and upgrades, coordinating with vendors and contractors.
- Communicate, coach, and train employees to improve response to equipment failures and production issues.
- Support NCE through SLC DOR, DER, GSTD's – DMAIC projects, debriefs, and shift handoffs.
- Maintain preventative maintenance logs and accurate records of all testing and repairs.
- Recommend equipment for inclusion in preventive maintenance programs and perform scheduled PM tasks.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and utility systems, including chillers and air compressors.
- Eliminate recurring problems using Breakdown Analysis.
- Communicate with equipment suppliers, contractors, and vendors as needed.
- Responsibilities include production support, mechanical room, water processing, boiler room, wastewater treatment, and water chemical treatment.
- At least three years of proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with high and low-pressure compressors, chillers, water treatment, and boilers is preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of pneumatics, electrical systems, hydraulics, and water processing is preferred.
- Knowledge of bottling equipment, PM programs, and SAP system is a plus.
- Strong mechanical abilities and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Electrical knowledge of single and three-phase power, including diagnosing and replacing electric motors.
- Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision.
- Ability to foster teamwork and communicate effectively with support groups, supervisors, and team members.
- Maintain professionalism and organizational ethics.
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze reports and mechanical drawings.
- Physical ability to perform inspections, including climbing and reaching.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and mechanical drawings.
- Available for call-ins and shift coverage as needed.
