It’s a busy day in Woodridge, IL 60517. A conveyor sensor is misreading, a palletizer needs alignment, and a VFD trip has paused a filler—yet production still has targets to hit. You step in, isolate the fault, stabilize the line, and lead a precise changeover that sets the next run up for success. That blend of urgency, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement defines this role.
Own the reliability of high-speed packaging and blow molding operations while elevating changeover performance and preventive maintenance discipline.
Core Responsibilities- Maintain and repair blow molding machines, conveyor systems, palletizers, industrial robots, and high-speed filling/packaging equipment.
- Tackle electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to quickly restore equipment performance.
- Diagnose issues across industrial automation equipment, including VFD-driven systems and PLC-controlled processes.
- Provide hands-on production support: operate equipment, cover breaks/lunches, and lead or assist with line changeovers.
- Service mechanical assets such as fillers, case packers, conveyors, palletizers, and water purification/filtration systems.
- Continuously improve changeover speed and accuracy and strengthen preventative maintenance plans.
- Install, commission, and troubleshoot production equipment to enhance uptime and quality.
- Uphold all company policies and work rules, including housekeeping, GMP, PPE requirements, SAP PM module use, and quality systems.
- Collaborate on the development and implementation of line improvements.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Proven experience with blow molding, conveyors, industrial robots, palletizers, and VFDs.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting ability.
- Skilled mechanical troubleshooting.
- Competence with industrial automation diagnostics.
- Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting.
Daytime, Monday–Friday core schedule with occasional weekend support as needed for production.
