A Style Consultant is a team member who meets guests where they are to deliver for them through strong operations, guest experience, and visual merchandising presentations that inspire and build the basket. Style Consultants are welcoming and helpful in meeting guests needs on the sales floor and in the fitting room. They ensure the floor is set full with the right product, accurately priced and signed on the salesfloor with the right sizes, styles, and colors.

• Guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store
• Retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies, and basic visual merchandising
• Industry trends including style, seasonality, and brand differentiation
• Set, fill, and price the floor according to guest priorities

• Drive sales and deliver a guest-ready floor by executing visual standards, inspirational and promotional signing, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings to assist the guest as needed.
• Use store tools to understand sales, inventory ownership, and support guest needs.
• Sort freight, push freight to the salesfloor, and locate merchandise in the backroom based on business needs.
• Set visual presentations and merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.
• Maintain product availability and a full floor by executing priority fills, manual fills, and merchandising to capacity.
• Maintain backroom organization, including locating merchandise to support replenishment, fulfillment, and guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as they sell through to deliver an inspiring shopping experience.
• Support price change processes with clearance merchandising and signing execution.
• Maintain and use fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and help guests.
• Support fulfillment and guest needs by moving merchandise from fitting room and guest service back to the salesfloor.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Work safely at all times; comply with safety policies and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup (OPU), and Drive-Up (DU) while complying with applicable laws (e.g., adult beverage laws).
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests during daily tasks; engage with guests to solve their needs; thank guests for shopping with Target.
• All other duties as assigned based on business needs.

• You thrive in a fast-moving, highly active and physically demanding role where teamwork, flexibility, and problem-solving are key.
• You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times).

• Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members
• Ability to communicate via multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology
• Effective communication skills; ability to work independently and with a team
• Resolve guest questions quickly; stay focused in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks within established time frames

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
• Climb ladders and move merchandise safely (up to 15 pounds regularly, up to 44 pounds occasionally with assistance)
• Flexible work schedule, reliable attendance
• Work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions as required by Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift
