Software Engineer Senior Consultant II

As a Senior Consultant II, you will design and implement applications following 12‑factor principles, owning the full stack of software products—from front‑end experiences to backend services. You will leverage test‑driven development, continuous integration, and modern engineering practices to ensure agility, scalability, and quality.

Beyond coding, you will actively influence architectural decisions, ensuring that the simplest, most effective technology choices meet user needs and align with enterprise standards.

• Drive Enterprise‑Scale Innovation: Work on App Fabric Frameworks, which empower development teams to align with Allstate’s Target State Architecture (TSA). These frameworks provide consistent security, approved design patterns, and automation‑first principles, reducing setup time and infrastructure complexity.
• Accelerate Delivery Through Automation: Contribute to capabilities that automate code updates, migrations, vulnerability detection, and pull request generation—freeing developers from repetitive maintenance and enabling focus on new features.
• Modernize at Scale: Help teams continuously evolve their software ecosystems by reducing technical debt, enabling secure, scalable, and future‑ready applications.
• Enable Smarter Releases: Implement feature toggle systems for controlled rollouts, rollbacks, and experimentation, supporting data‑driven decision‑making and minimal‑risk deployments.
• Champion Continuous Delivery: Drive initiatives that allow enterprise‑wide teams to innovate faster, personalize user experiences, and maintain operational excellence through standardization and reuse.

• Demonstrate technical skills and aptitude needed to meet/exceed delivery velocity and quality expectations as a full stack developer.
• Build and maintain frameworks/libraries/reusable components, applications, REST APIs, frontends, and abstraction layers.
• Participate in daily product stand‑ups, iteration planning, and retrospective meetings.
• Contribute to shaping the architecture and design of the product; actively help the team in choosing the right technology and solving technical problems.
• Establish and follow continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines and practices.
• Create and update technical product documentation.
• Provide support to developers/engineers who use the team’s products.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Java, Spring Boot, Python, React JS.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, Jest, Jasmine.

• Minimum of 1 year’s experience working with distributed systems, operating systems, networking, databases, security, and analytics.
• Experience in Cloud Computing Environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• 1+ years’ experience designing and developing frameworks/libraries/reusable components.
• 1+ years’ experience using Git Hub and Jenkins.
