Caruso USA invites you to apply for the Experienced 26ft Box Truck Driver – 1st Shift role. Caruso is a family‑owned, fourth‑generation company distributing fresh ready‑to‑eat and pre‑cut produce, sandwiches, salads, and meal kits to retail distribution centers and direct‑to‑retail stores nationwide.
Pay range: $20.00/hr – $26.00/hr
We are looking for experienced Box Truck Drivers for local routes. The Route Driver starts at 4:30 am on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Job Summary: The Route Driver is the face of the company, always projecting a professional and positive image. Responsibilities include safe operation of a motor vehicle, picking up and dropping off items, maintaining compliance with company policies, procedures, and DOT regulations, and providing excellent customer service.
Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)- Operate a company‑provided CMV.
- Deliver products to customers safely, courteously, and on time.
- Follow routes and time schedules.
- Load, unload, and deliver to customer specifications, obtaining required sign‑offs.
- Establish and maintain outstanding relationships with customers.
- Review and verify invoices and purchase requests for accuracy.
- Complete DVIRs (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports).
- Follow safety and lifting protocols during deliveries.
- Maintain delivery logs and records.
- Adhere to DOT regulations and safety standards.
- At least 21 years old.
- Verifiable box truck driving experience.
- Excellent driving record (no reckless driving, DUI/OAMVI, hit‑and‑run, excessive speed, preventable accidents, or more than two moving violations in the last 24 months).
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to work and drive in all weather conditions.
- Read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent and prompt attendance each scheduled day.
- Pay up to $26.00 per hour, depending on experience and license type.
