Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

This role leads all plant finance and accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely decision support to Operations. This role also owns the month-end close and forecasting process, drives cost/working-capital performance, and partners with plant leadership to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards.

• Leading month-end/year-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Owning standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis
• Partnering with Operations on labour, scrap, efficiency, materials, freight, and overhead performance
• Leading budgeting, forecasting, annual planning, and longer-range financial modelling
• Driving working capital, cash planning, and capital investment analysis
• Developing and leading a plant finance team
• Supporting compliance, audit readiness, and continuous process improvement

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA (or equivalent) designation
• 7-10+ years of experience in manufacturing finance/accounting
• Proven ownership of close, costing, and plant performance reporting
• Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, variance analysis, and internal controls
• Advanced Excel
• ERP/MRP experience required
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team, influence cross-functional leaders, and drive process improvement in a fast-paced plant environment.
