Engineering Manager; Welding

One of our automotive manufacturing clients located nearby Tillsonburg, ON is looking for an Engineering Manager (Welding).

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the implementation of new manufacturing and welding programs, ensuring successful execution from initial planning through program launch

• Monitor and follow up on new program activities to ensure quality, productivity, and equipment efficiency targets are achieved

• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including reports, charts, and records required for projects and compliance

• Develop investment cost justifications and support capital expenditure planning for new equipment and processes

• Support the implementation of engineering changes, quality improvements, productivity enhancements, and cost reduction initiatives

• Establish and improve engineering methods, standards, and procedures to support operational excellence

• Provide technical leadership by mentoring, coaching, and guiding the engineering team

• Participate in recruitment activities, including interviewing and selection of engineering personnel as required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent combination of education and experience)

• Experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment, with 5+ years in an engineering role considered an asset

• Strong knowledge of welding and manufacturing processes, with experience supporting quality, productivity, and efficiency improvements

• Experience with robotic welding integration, optimization, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment (asset)

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills
