Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for leading projects through their entire lifecycle — from pre-award activities such as tenders, quotations, and technical proposals, through to post-award execution including contract mobilisation, oversight, and delivery.

This position supports programs for both the Department of National Defence (DND) and the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), managing projects involving large-scale manufacturing, capital investment (CAPEX), and industrial capability development.

The Project Manager will also lead and oversee a team of project coordinators, engineers, planners, and support staff, ensuring that all activities are aligned with contractual, regulatory, and quality requirements applicable to defence production environments.

About You

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience managing complex technical and capital projects in a defence manufacturing or industrial production environment.
  • Proven success leading multidisciplinary project teams through both pre-award and post-award project phases.
  • Experience with and strong understanding of defence contract models (Firm Fixed Price, CPFF, IDIQ), and compliance (CGP, ITAR/EAR)
  • Hands‑on experience managing manufacturing or facility CAPEX programs, including commissioning and start-up
Knowledge
  • Project management methodologies and lifecycle practices (PMBOK or equivalent)
  • Defence contracting processes and compliance frameworks
  • Manufacturing processes, engineering workflows, and quality systems (ISO, AS9100)
  • Cost control, budgeting, and Earned Value Management (EVMS)
  • Industrial security and export compliance (CGP, ITAR, EAR)
  • Construction and CAPEX project principles within manufacturing settings
  • ERP/MRP systems and project scheduling software (e.g. MS Project)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
