Responsibilities
Design, monitor, troubleshoot and optimize high performance concrete mixes for precast plants including specialty mixes for structural and architectural precast concrete wall panels
Support with mix design and troubleshooting for ready mix products
Pre-bid review of project specifications
Planning and coordinating field/plant and laboratory testing of construction materials
Develop repair procedures for defective product which permanently restores appearance, durability and structural capacity
Conduct job functions as needed between plant and field working environments
Requirements
Minimum of five years of practical engineering experience within a relevant field, preferably focusing on concrete mix-designs
Civil Engineering Degree in concrete materials engineering
Knowledge of CSA, ASTM and MTO Standards
Relevant concrete testing certifications such as ACI FT Level 1 and ACI-SCC would be considered strong assets
Willingness to travel between plants as well as to project construction sites as required
Must be adaptable to overtime where required to meet project / production deadlines
Ability to work with salaried and hourly workforce in a plant environment

Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually.
