The Industrial Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within the AMTB blanking facility. This role ensures all electrical systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. The Industrial Electrician will work closely with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Accountabilities:

  • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of electrical systems, including PLCs, motors, drives, sensors, and control panels.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify electrical issues and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems and wiring according to production requirements.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Work with automation and control systems, including PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with provincial, and national electrical codes, as well as AMTB policies.
  • Collaborate with production, and engineering teams to improve machine reliability and efficiency.
